Shortcuts: App Icon Changer Support
Your own icons and names for any app, shortcuts that stay
Questions, bugs or ideas? Write to [email protected] and put Shortcuts in the subject, we read every message. Please add your phone model, Android version and your home screen app.
How it works
Find an app in the list and tap it. Pick its icon, the app's own icon, a photo or one of the one color styles, give it a name and tap Add to home screen. Your home screen app asks where to put it. Star your favorite apps to keep them on top of the list.
Common questions
Why does my shortcut stay after I uninstall an app?
A shortcut you pin belongs to Shortcuts, not to the app it opens, so your home screen keeps it. Tap it while the app is gone and Google Play opens the app's page, install it again and the same shortcut opens it.
Why is there a small badge on my shortcut?
Some home screen apps show a small icon of the app that made a shortcut in its corner. It comes from your home screen app, Shortcuts cannot turn it off.
Nothing happens when I tap Add to home screen
Your home screen app has to support pinned shortcuts, most do. If yours does not, the App tells you, try another home screen app.
How do I change a shortcut I made?
Pin the app again with the new icon or name, then remove the old shortcut from your home screen with a long press.
Is my data private?
Yes. There is no account, and your list of apps, favorites, icons and photos stay on your phone.
